THE FOUNDERs.
Founded by 3 friends in 2024 with a simple idea. Take their combined fly fishing knowledge, angling experience, media know-how, and operational expertise to create a travel company that excels in getting anglers out there to experience the to the places and adventures and people we love visiting ourselves. The idea came about over time and was discussed on many different skiffs around the world before the ball got rolling and now we have Early Risers Travel. The fruit of all those discussions and then a ton of planning.

Stephan, from Germany, who also founded the The Fly Fishing Nation, is a name well known in the fly fishing industry.
With more angling pursuits and knowledge than most in his repertoire he has decades of experience to draw from when is comes to fly fishing travel. Being one of the most published fly fishing photographers proves his dedication to capturing the best of what fly fishing has to offer. He now takes all of those decades of exploring and fishing and passes some of that hard earned knowledge on to clients in the form of unmatched advice on destinations as well as technical guidance of fly fishing set ups required for all of our experiences.
Marina, from the UK, who also founded The Northern Fishing School and Cancer and Pisces Trust among other things is a name that needs no introduction in the fly fishing world.
Not only is she one of the most well travelled and experienced anglers globally, she is also a certified casting instructor and published author. Marina draws on her lifelong passion for fishing and love of people now to ensure that our clients are getting out there and enjoying what the world of fly fishing has to offer.
Simon, a fly fisher from South Africa who loves to point his camera at fish and the areas where fish live, left the world of finance to spend time on the water many year ago.
He has a deep focus now on building up the African portfolio for the business. He now also draws on his experience in the corporate world to build robust operations ensuring the smoothest client experience possible.

He also continues to make films on destinations with his passion being in storytelling via media in the fly fishing space.
